Shut It Down: Michael Brown
So I know that this is a photojournalism blog and you are probably not viewing this site for political or cultural criticism. Don't worry I am not about to go on a rant or give a ten step solution for police brutality, racism or poverty. #Dysturb
"Visual journalists operate as trustees of the public. Our primary role is to report visually on the significant events and varied viewpoints in our common world. Our primary goal is the faithful and comprehensive depiction of the subject at hand. As visual journalists, we have the responsibility to document society and to preserve its history through images."-NPPA

It's a way to tell a story, to speak truth to everyone without worrying about language barriers. More importantly Photojournalism illustrates this ability of photography, as not just a pretty picture or a way to get "likes", but a way to tell a story.
